Capital repairs of emergency zones in the house at 65/11 Rimskogo-Korsakova Street are scheduled for 2027, provided that apartment owners grant access. The St. Petersburg Housing Committee announced this on May 13.
The day before, residents had complained about the risk of the building collapsing. A 2022 technical survey confirmed this danger, identifying emergency conditions in sections of walls, floors, partitions, foundations, and lintels above doorways.
To perform the repairs, three apartments needed to be temporarily vacated. Four years ago, only one of them was vacated. The contract for the remaining work was terminated because it could not be carried out. The owner of the apartment that was not vacated, where the risk of collapse persists, stated that her family was not offered suitable temporary housing from the maneuver fund.
The committee noted that work on the emergency zones is now planned for 2027. As the Capital Repair Fund had earlier indicated, the building may require an additional inspection to identify any new hazardous areas that may have emerged over the years.
The Capital Repair Fund«s website currently shows no data on these planned repairs. According to the regional program, only elevator modernization is scheduled.
The building at 65/11 Rimskogo-Korsakova Street was built in the late 19th century and underwent a comprehensive capital repair in 1965–1966. According to GIS Housing and Utilities, its overall condition is rated as serviceable with an official wear of 33%. It is managed by ZhKS No. 1 of the Admiralteysky District.
The 2022 survey that revealed the risk of structural collapse was based in part on a technical report from 2019.
